Guide to Selecting Printing Quality:
1. The first thing you will need to know is the paper size you will need for your printing. This image shows the different sizes (Click the image to enlarge). Note that A4 is the standard sized paper you would use for your home printer, use this as a point of reference!
2. Now that you know what size you want your prints to be, you should next focus on the texture of the paper. In most cases you would select either Gloss or Matte. The difference between the two types is that Gloss Paper will have a shine to it and Matte will have no shine. For a clearer comparison you would select the same for Paint for your home decorating.
3. Finally you will need to select a GSM (Grams per Square Meter), put simply, this is the weight of the paper based on its thickness. The thicker the paper, the more durable it is and the harder it is to rip. We recommend 170gsm for printing most Posters and Fliers as it is durable and cost effective!
Tips for Selecting Print Quantities:
It goes without saying that you don't want to purchase too many prints for numerous reasons, mainly being a waste of money not only on printing but of distribution too. Also the last thing you need is to have the publicity kicking around the office taking up a lot of space. So how do you know how many to get?
1. Try to estimate how many you will need to send out, and round it up to the nearest hundred, this way you will have some extra if you have a need to send some more out.
2. Don't go silly and buy a huge load, but don't do the opposite and buy a small amount. This will either lead to having too many to distribute and as a result costing you more to send in the post or wasted money when you bin the remaining prints due to lack of space in the office, on the other hand if you don't have enough you may have to pay out again to get more printed.
3. Be cost effective, the more you buy the higher the discount. Again if you do not purchase enough in the first place you will be paying more out than you really should have done, this could have been avoided if you had purchased the correct amount in the first place.
4. Count and count again, make sure you KNOW how many consumers you will be sending your prints to, then round that number up to the nearest hundred so that you always have some spare, in case some are damaged in the post (normally the prints at the top and bottom of the pile rub against the cardboard box in transport and get scratched and scuffed, so you have already lost 2 prints before they even get to you). Always account for damages and loss and overcompensate by ordering a sensible amount.
Where are the Printing Prices?
To be able to give you all the exact prices of printing we would require a whole new website on its own, this is down to the sheer volume of variables there are to consider. When you thing of individually pricing each paper size against each paper texture and again against each quantity, we would need to give thousands of prices. So we cannot provide you with exact prices! However we can give you an exact price if you call us or use our online Printing Quotes Form.
If you require a price, simply contact us and we will get you an exact price within 12-hours (Including weekends). If you can find a cheaper Like-For-Like quote elsewhere, let us know and we will try to beat or match the price!
